Songwriting how to find classes like this?

Ok so I have a friend who loves to write music, but he wants to take some classes to improve on his lyrics and versus. Does anyone know how to find classes like this or some good online workshops or classes Thanks:

Yep! I get free tips from a guy whom e-mails them everyday…but its not much…classes/workshops aren’t cheap…try berklee online music courses…google berklee online it should come up

A tip that I know of is that it is sometimes wise to think of how you want the music to sound before you write the lyrics. In other words (I know Linkin Park used this strategy at one point), you hum out the music or sing it aloud (without words) and produce the sound that you want the song to have. Then after that, you can work on the lyrics. Linkin Park did that exceptionally well with their song called “What I’ve Done” and so it is definitely a handy tip.

As for classes, I’m not really sure of any as such. For that, fantasy’s advice would be the best way to go, lol.
