Do people really get hooked on ciggarettes?
For most people yes.
My dad smoked for several years, and when he got married quit cold turkey, and never smoked again. Are there people who dont get addicted to some drugs? Sure, but these people are far and few between. There are some people who even do hard drugs and do not get addicted. But these people are in a very small minority, and I would not recommend trying to beat the odds...
Also, you may have been able to quit this time, but if you start smoking again you may not be able to quit so easily the next time round...
It really depends on several interacting factors...
I would just stay away from all addictive substances... Especially those that could kill you...
Yes, they do...and the bad thing is, the same people that make cigarettes have the monopoly on things to try to get you to stop. So they have you coming and going.
And the worst of all, is it can kill you. It's best to never even start. Once it gets a hold of you, it takes a LOT to get off of them. My best friend is addicted, and I can't even tell you how many times she has tried to stop.
oklahoma, Obviously, or else it wouldn't take so many people so long to quit. Nicotein is highly addictive to people. Some people get addicted faster then others, but it will catch up to you eventually. -ѕтәpн♥
yes my uncle did very quickly he tried 1 when he was 17 and now he is dead because he has been smoking since the second time he tried a cigarrete
Well I was smoking for a year, and I just now quit cold-turky, and I have have yet to crave one.
