Sleep trouble!

My entire life I’ve had trouble sleeping before big events, tests, and other occasions, does anybody have any advice to help get to sleep, or know of any medications that will help me?

Answer #1

Thanks twilightmom, I usually dont eat any sugar or caffeine before these nights, because I know I need my sleep, and I only smoke rarely with friends or at partys. I will ask my doctor about Melatonin next time, thanks. Plus I rarely read now-a-days, and im hoping to get a new bed, maybe that will help. Thanks again!

Answer #2

Don’t read in bed or smoke–see your bed as for sleeping only. Don’t eat for at least 4 hrs before laying down to sleep Have the cool/warm enough to your comfortable level Try a hot shower/bath No caffeine or nicotine for 4-6 hours before bed. you could always try Melatonin for those nights. Melatonin is found naturally in the body and helps to regulate sleep. you can buy it over-the-counter, take as directed (usually 1-2 tablets 30-60 minutes before bed). Hope these help! I know how it feels, been through it myself!

Answer #3

that would be the adrenaline in your body when your nervous or excited I guess. try going to bed earlier than normal? or doing a tough sport during the day to tire you out? or meditation. that will work really well if done properly.

don’t let the bed bugs bite lol.
