Here’s the thing - your sister doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Emo is a style and music genre. It has NOTHING to do with cutting/hurting yourself. That’s called self harm and is a serious thing that should be taken seriously and stopped quick. Tell her your scars are none of her business or tell her that you feel, got scratched by the cat, etc…

Emo is nothing more than a style of dress and a genre of music it has NOTHING to do with cutting (self harm) depression (a mental disorder) suicide, eating disorders, ect because feelings and emotions play NO part in any label or stereotype which is what majority of the kids who talk about emo and majority of the kids who call themselves emo still don’t understand

what you did is self harm, its not part of any sterotype but whatever problems you have you need to talk about them so people can help you and so you can stop cutting

say you opened stuff with a knife.. the scars are from something that happened a long time ago.
