When it is done by a professional there will be a couple days of swelling and tenderness which can also cause a headache. If you do not keep it clean it can cause bad breath and an infection. You have to be careful with it.

If you are trying to do it yourself I do not advise it. You can hit a nerve or vain in your tounge causing major bleeding, paralization in the face which can be permanant, and also of coarse an infection. So please see a professional.

I assumed they were speaking of a tounge piercing since there is no such thing as a “thung” piercing.

well, there is always the risk that when you get it pierced, that it can paralyze your body, so i wouldnt recomend it :P
