smoking has no legal age in NZ, but there is an age to actually buy cigarettes- which is 18. Drinking is also 18 and so is buying alcohol. I think that no matter what the age is, youth will still find a way to get access to these things so the may as well just keep i the same age.
I would keep it at the age of 21. Any younger people abuse of it and they make it be worse and any younger is like letting kids deal with it. Even adults have troubles dealing with it so imagine it letting younger people deal with it.
I think i'd keep it at 21. If drinking was for anyone younger, there would be more car wrecks and crimes and it would just be a wreck.
I think the laws are fine as they are. 21 to drink 18 to smoke. I dont see how lowering the ages would do any good for the country.
18 for soldiers only in the usa. If they can fight for their country they should be allowed to drink as well.
i think 18 to smoke and 21 to drink is reasonable. i mean no matter the age, people are gonna do it
The legal age to purchase cigarettes and alcohol where i live is 18
We only have a legal purchase age for alcohol too
depends on how mature they are.
18 to drink and 16 to smoke
