Exercise is defined as anything that requires physical effort to sustain and improve health.
Walking is an exercise, shopping is not. Mainly because shopping does not require any real physical effort, although it does require mental effort. I would list shopping as part of the Miscellaneous Calories category which includes: thinking, talking, typing, looking, breathing, eating, sleeping, and any other daily functions that doesn't require serious physical effort.
When it comes to shopping at the mall or at the big shopping center, then sure shopping does consider to be an exercise especially that you'll always be walking and standing and all. I always get tired when coming home after shopping at the local mall, lol.
Well, to me it's more like everyday movement than an exercise, unless your heart-rate is of your cardio heart-rate's zone.
But usually I go shopping for 4 hours and walk the whole time because I usually don't try on anything haha.
since it makes you think , decide and pay .. it's such a HUGE exercise ;)
hell yea girls easily spend like 2 hours shoping at the mall
Depends on how much walking and bag carrying you're doing :D
exercise for the legs, yes. for all else in the body? no
I don't think so but I like your thinking though!!
