A scenario means like a problem. A dilemma or a plot in a movie for example Romeo & Juliet love each other yet they can not marry because of their families. That is the scenario and i the ed they both die (dying is not part of the scenario… I am pretty sure)

I would say those are the causes of the conflict; the rivalry between Romeo and Juliet’s parents. Like Morgan stated, a scenario is a description of the event or setting. The effect of the causes are that Romeo and Juliet cannot be engaged due to the rivalry. A problem needs these a cause and effect to be considered a problem to begin with.
