What role does personality play in baviour?

I am doing and ISU for my Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology class, and for the begining of my 5 page essay I need to introduce personality, The importance of it, and the role it plays in our behaviour. Any ideas?

I think you should definitely touch upon Freud’s theory of the “ID, the ego, and the super-ego”. It won’t be a hard topic to find books, dissertations or papers on as a source for your essay either since Freud is so well known and this theory is as well.

It is a 5 page essay on Personality Development, the body of my essay will have 3 different theories on it, and my first is the Psychosexual Theory by Freud. But my opening paragraph has to talk about personality itself, how it’s important, and the effect it has on behaviour. I am just having troubles finding stuff about it on the internet
