How can i get rid of persistent headache?

I don’t believe in taking Ibuprofen, Nurofen, Advil and other things like that. I’ve had this headache the past 3/4 days and it hasn’t gotten worse. I’ve also been wearing my glasses because i thought it might have been due to not wearing them when i should be but it’s not. I’ve booked an appointment to see my Doctor but the earliest they can fit me in is next week Friday and I don’t want to put up with a headache untill then. Any ideas how?

Why don’t you believe in taking medicine? it actually works sometimes, try drinking some water, a hot shower, an ice pack, sleeping or get a massage.. When you go to the doctors he will try to figure out what’s wrong and will most likely prescribe you some sort of medicine.

I’ve been prescribed some medicines from my Doctor for various things and i don’t want to add to that because some of it,like my hayfever tablets,make me feel drowzy so i don’t want anything else happening. but thanks ill try what you said :)

I have had the same headache I have now for the whole year, no joke. Doctors are trying to figure out what’s wrong but nothing came up in the CT scan and no pain relievers work for me. I’m getting pretty f*cking sick of it. Why don’t you just take the panadol and be greatful it actually works? :)

I dont believe in taking medicine like that either and for headaches i always lay down in a really dark room with no lights on and just rest with the ice pack on my head. It works well for me and i get those really bad headaches too…..i forget what you call them.
