What are some of the restrictions in the Muslim faith concerning dress and diet?

Answer #1

You’re asking about a broad spectrum of people. Dress is meant to be ‘decent’. Quite obviously everyone has a different definition for this and will depend on what sect you’re from, what part of the world you live in, and how conservative you are. Diet is again dependent. No pork is pretty much the only universal thing. No alcohol is something some people follow. Some conservative muslims will follow a halal (sp?) diet, I know it has its similarities to kosher food, but I dont think it is quite as complicated.

Answer #2

all their meat must be halal, which refers to the way the animal is killed. They dont eat pork as already mentioned, or any deriviatives such as gelatine that comes from pigs. Dress is just modest, which can vary from just not showing too much skin, or basically covering everything except the eyes

Answer #3

Muslims have restrictions on clothes and diet. -no pork,as written in quran, they are not allowed to eat it because they think it is unclean. -wearing burqa, written in quran,it says-women should hide their beauty and ornaments, cover themselves. It may differ from place to place, some people follow and some not. Some use scarves, and some Burka, the basic objective remains the same.

Answer #4

some people they keep looking for halal sign, as long as its not a restricted meat or anything i’m cool with it people do look how it has been killed. also if they cant pray 5times a day why do they bother to show off.
