Red is pretty, but not on my skin! =D

I’ve always wondered why people’s skin turns red in the cold weather. Where I’m from it’s pretty darn cold all the time. I have really light skin and I look funny when I go outside because I turn red if it’s cold. Does anyone have a clue as to why your body turns red in the cold??

Answer #1

it can also turn red because of sensitivity. I have realy sensitive skin and I always “break out” in the red patches. the medical term is hives, but I’m not sure what your situation is with this, so I’m not going to say if that’s it or not.

Answer #2

No, it’s not a break out. I dont break out. I’m lucky! =D But its just redness, like when I go inside I look like a lobster.

Answer #3

It turns red because your blood rushes to the coldest part of your body.
