How do I put on some muscle?

I am a 15 year old in high school, and can’t put on any weight. I eat all kinds of fatty foods, and food that is supposed to put some serious fat on you, but i don’t gain any weight. I learned that this is because of my metabolism. I then decided to started drinking protein milk( regular milk+a protein powder), and still have not put on any weight, I work out all the time, I either am running, doing push ups, crunches, or in the work out room when told to in gym. I am as skinny as a light pole…literally. I want to bulk up some. please help

Answer #4

ok, you sound just like my friend, hes moderatly small. what you need to do,is eventough fatty foods increase fat, but thats gonna raise your cholesterol and blood pressure and that ISN’T good. what you want to be doing is. –> #1- eat plenty of carbohydrates (to give you energy to workout) #2- eat plenty of protein (to help bulkup) #3- your 15, right? so justcould probably get some weights or get a gym membership. #4- try not to run alot, it can damage your legs and knees. plus its just gonna leed to reduceing your weight. #5- make up a home workout list.. something like every night do 100 situps 25 at a time and rest for 10 secs then do then next 25 etc till u reach 100. do maybe 20 pushups, or however many you want but in sets of 10. as your skinny muscle shouldn’t be as hard to show as when your chubbyer. try looking up stuff on youtube or just into google. i can’t remember the site that i used to bulk up, cus i didn’t bookmark it. but they should help you. don’t worry that in a week theres no noticeable change, believe me, if you put in the hardwork it WILL be changeing on the inside. then within about a month or so of consant daily routine you’ll notice a difference. i hope i helped, i know this can be frustrating, especially when all your friends are quite muscley. good luck pal. if u need anymore help with any of this feel free to funmail me.

Answer #8

You should be eating calorie/protein/simple carb dense food but have 5-7 meals smaller portions since your skinny you should limit your running or cardio to about 2x a day and 3 to the most why limit cardio well it’s burning the calories your trying to put on And when you weight lift remember heavy weights low sets 5-10 rep range and workout each muscle one a week and have a rest day Dont work one muscle everyday really bad idea

Answer #9

Weight lifting. For first couple weeks, just lift weight that is comfortable. After you establish solid base muscle over the course of a couple months increase weight amount along with repetitions!
