What do you think should be the punishment for the man who wrote the book how to rape children a pedophiles guide?

Sigh. As much as I believe in freedom of speech, I think everything has its limits. Personally the guy should be in jail. For the rest of his life. Pedophiles dont do well in jail. Cannot believe any company would actually publish it. Let alone Amazon selling it, what the hell were they thinking! At least he was arrested. Hmph, he has no record of child molestation, well of course not, he just wrote a book on how to do it well!

This is clearly a difficult and very emotive issue. I think the only answer I can give is that:

If the author has broken any law(s) in writing the book, and/or having it published, then he should be tried for breaking those laws, and then if (and only if) found guilty - given the punishment laid down for such crimes in his country of residence.

We do not expect an author who writes about people being murdered to be jailed for murder, and I think that is a principle that arguably should be applied to all forms of writing about criminal activity..

I have not read the book (and would not wish to) but in some respects it could prove useful to the police and law abiding citizens in exposing the, perhaps otherwise unknown, “modi operandi” of the practicing pedophile, …..

thus increasing the likelihood of detection of perpetrators, and also allowing better awareness and prudent child safety measures to be implemented.
