My beautiful 10 month old blue nose “pitbull” is the sweetest baby I have ever seen. She is sooo loving and has NEVER been aggressive towards people or animals. To “smartpitowner”,I cried reading what you wrote!!People don’t realize how perfect these souls are!! They are sooo incredibly loyal that unfortunetly they listen to the A@*HOLE owners who put them in harms way because they hate to disapoint their owners.I love all animals but the ONLY dog I would ever get is a PITBULL!!!It breaks my heart to know the horrible things that they are subject to.There are many animals that need homes but this breed is ALWAYS left behind.I have personally been close to being attacked by a damn shih tzu!!! They are freaking old people dogs and I almost got bit by one!!!Never judge a book by it’s cover people!!!”Pitbulls” are THE BEST,LOVING,LOYAL creatures you can have in your life!!

pits are lovable dogs..unless you train them

I am getting really annoyed with these dumb small minded people talking bad about pitbull terriers. I have owned a red devil pitbull for 14 years and I also have two of her puppies from birth. Firstly, there is no such thing as a mechanism which enables them to lock their jaw it is a myth. Next thing is they are the same as humans. If you breed ANY ANIMAL or human to be violent, then they will indeed be violent. My dogs have grown up with love and affection and their only goal is to look after my children and please me at every opportunity. Naturally these dogs wil excell at any task given to them which unfortunately includes fighting. The dogs that attack humans you can guarantee have been either bred for fighting or have been ill treated. The police are quick to ban pitbulls but why not man dobermanns who have a history of more murders than pits? Any why have they not done post mortems on pits? This would prove they are born with perfectly normal brains and do not have some fantasy cells which would make them any more tempremental than any other dog. Also I would like to make a comment on the recent death of a young girl in England. HER UNCLE WAS INVOLVED IN DOG FIGHTING!!! He was purposely breeding dogs and keeping dogs for dog fighting!!! So how do you think those dogs were kept? I will tell you, he was probably kept in a dark cupboard most of the day and tossed raw meat. Beated with metal rods at every opportunity, sliced with a knife to get him used to pain tied to a treatmill for hours on end and beaten if he tried to sit, trained with a sleeve that fits on a persons arm and told to totally tear it apart or get beaten, starved for days to encourage anger, tell me, how would you react to humans if you had an opportunity to be around a weak one for a second if you were treated this way? WAKE UP PEOPLE and do some research!!! Oh and just for the record, my neighbours son would be dead today if it were not for my dog who jumped in the sea to drag him out, its funny when I wrote to the papers about it they didnt want to know. The police need to take some responsibility and instead of destroying loving pets, go after the breeders that breed for fighting dogs, go after the organisers of dog fights and go after the owners that abuse their animals. But no its far easier for you to say its due to the animals nature huh!!

I own 5 currently and am starting a kennel… IGNORANCE and STUPIDITY give my dogs and the pit bulls bad raps… Here is something for everyone that is true about pits… in a joking matter LOL

Top Ten Reasons You Can’t Trust A Vicious Pitbull

  1. They will steal your spot on the couch while you are up getting a soda.
  2. They will take the treat you give them and bury in the back yard like a paranoid crack head hiding their stash.
  3. They will jump on your bed with muddy feet. Making you do laundry…again
  4. They will lick visitors with an uncontrolled passion only they understand.
  5. They will cause children to smile.
  6. They will make you feel horrible for not walking them by looking at you with deep sad eyes.
  7. They will look at you like you committed a crime against them if you don’t let them lick your ice cream bowl.
  8. They will cause wide spread happiness in large group settings.
  9. They will crack you up by shaking their butts so hard you think they are going to snap in half. And the number one reason why you can’t trust vicious Pit Bulls…
  10. They will steal your heart like a thief in the night, showing you complete and pure love that only a Pit Bull can show.

On a little more serious note:

A Pit Bull’s Plea You made me what I am today, courage at its best. You wanted me to know no fear, a cut above the rest. Not only did I master that: I’ve thrown in loyalty. Look past my eyes into my soul, you know I’d die for you. I’ll watch your kids, I’ll watch your house. Your praise will be my crown. Ask what you will - I’ll do my best. I’ll even be your clown. But some of you don’t like me, I really don’t know why. The only thing I’m guilty of is courage, love, and try. But still they want to see me go, they want my breed to end Will I see you sitting idly by? You, whom I call a friend? You made me what I am today; you never saw me waiver. I’ve done my best to keep you safe. Won’t you please return the favor?

I used to feel that pitbulls could be and were loving dogs. That they were only catagorized as mean and vicous. That changed a couple of days ago though. My cousin was walking my pug down a friendly neighborhood street, with children running around. There was no beware of dog sign yet they had a dangerous dog that ran lose. Needless to say he ran out of the house and attacked my dog, and this wasnt the first time he attacked a dog. What if its a child next time? The owner claims him to be a nice dog. Miracoulsey my dog is alive, his side is torn up though and we have hundred of dollars in vet bills. I dont think that pittbulls are proper pets, they can change its in there blood to be attack dogs.

Sorry about the bad spelling

Answer #7

Hi,

I do.

I work at a Humane Society in a county where pitbulls are illegal. If we get them we have to either euthanize them (kill them) or send them to a northern county. It’s horrible, because pitbulls are really some of the best dogs I’ve ever known. People like Vick just train them to be violent, and the breed is naturally strong so it’s deadly. If I could, I’d euthanize Vick. Innately, pits are gentle and misunderstood creatures. As soon as I move, I’ll get one :)

Answer #8

I looove pitbulls!! I have a 3 month old one actually, she stays in Missouri tho. she is my life!!

Answer #9

Nothing’s wrong with pit bull terriers. I don’t understand why people hate them so much. They’re not especially aggressive or dangerous. They just have strong jaws - but doesn’t a bear have strong jaws too? I don’t see why they’re banned in certain countries, or areas. I don’t understand why people hate them so much, and automatically assume they are aggressive. They aren’t naturally aggressive, they were made that way. And yes, sometimes bred that way. But still, I read a story about a pit bull puppy who was killed by its owner because it was licking him a lot (and not showing any aggression at all). And then they talk about the dogs being aggressive. I think they should look at the owners first (and I’m not talking about the good, loving and caring owners).

And apart from pit bulls, I often read stories about dogs who have bitten a child, and they need to be euthanized for that. What the hell? Usually it’s the owner’s fault and the dogs are always punished. Something needs to change.

Answer #10

Me myself as a Pitbull owner for many years, love the breed to death. I am totally against fighting them. Pitbulls are very loyal and friendly dogs. My dogs were raised around my kids, since they were veru young. My kids range from ages 12, 9 & 7. They each take turn feeding them and never once while my kids pet them will eating have they sriked to bite. They are very territorial of their property and would you be too to protect where you live. Pit bulls have been given a bad rap because of people who breed them to fight and thats all they know. And its very sad that some has to be killed because of a way they were brought up.

Answer #11

I don’t believe in dog fighting( as a sport) I mean my neighbor has 2 full blooded great danes and I had one pit at one time. He would hold his own but when the second Great Dane came in it would be all over. But my pit would ususally fight with them because they were on my property or barking at me… So he was protecting me.. I know have 3 pits and they all are adorable and I love them to death. My pits are

“ a MOO MOO “ pattern pit, his name is lucky and he is 3 years old a black with a white stripe on his chest pit and his name is Papi and yes after the baseball player. he is about 1yr and the female is a red brindle pit and her name is baby girl she is about 1 yr old

Answer #12

I love pitbulls I wanted to get one but my husband doesn’t like them but only because he has had a few bad experiences with a few of them.

To answer your question njb1982: Your new pitbull shouldn’t hurt the other dogs. I have always been told it depends on how the puppy/dog is raised on how it acts around people and other animals.
