Whats the pros and cons of having your hand web pierced??((between your index and thumb)) I want to get one, but not right away. I find it cute to have one along with a little heart tatoo below it. I like the whole ensemble effect.
But anyways, yeahh, the pro and cons of having one :)
Its subjective... I've had mine for SEVERAL YEARS, it migrated a few mms' then ACCEPTED.. Heal time is NOT 3 months at all! that is just the surface holes and depending on where you get it - Mine is between thumb and index and quite far in, so for the tunnel to be basically healed took 6 months... 9 months before it was a secure hole that couldn't be re-shaped. I've had it ripped out of my other hand in fights and know of dozens of people who have attempted it but only one other person who has also maintained it for longer than 2 years. No it doesn't hurt initially but like a burn - wait till the nerves 'grow' back.. AND not using a professional is probably THE FASTEST way to a REJECTION other then sticking your hand into a germal warfare lab... WAKE UP! Thats just ignorant and you clearly dont have the maturity to maintain the care required for the piercing if you cant even be sensible about selecting the agent to perform the modification...
The shop I worked at did these reguarly, it's becoming quite popular. Anyways here ya go: Your hand comes in contact with more bacteria than any other body surface Additional care needs to be taken to keep it clean To minimize rejection, placement is essential (you MUST get a professional.) you may find that taping the surrounding fingers reduces the stresses that everyday movements put on the exit holes. The piercing itself is almost painless though. 3 Months to heal if cared for properly If it is done by a professional and done properly it WILL NOT grow out.
well its a surface peirciing, so its not permanent also being in a "high traffic" area its probably going to regect a lot quicker as you use your hands more than a lot if your body doesnt reject it it will grow out within a few months to a few years so be aware that its not permanent, but the scar it leaves will be other than that the only thing it does it sit there and look pretty
I really want it done. im thinking about getting it done by someone who isn't a professional is that risky
umm, a major con would be getting it caught on something REALLLy easily
It will eventually grown out. I would say do it somewhere else
