Actually, if you're starving, your body will attack your protein reserves before your fat, namely, muscle tissue. It's easier to break down. That's why starving yourself to lose weight doesn't work.
Ya, there was this one story I rea about the Holocaust, called "The Hiding Place". The author described befriending a young woman in a concentration camp who claimed to be pregnant, but barely had a bulge, even by the time she was in labor. I think the least they cost is like, 10 dollars or so. and I think you can get them at pretty much any local pharmacy.
