Will this prevent pregnancy?

If you are on the pill because you have heavy or irregular periods, does it protect you against pregnancy too?

Answer #1

yes it will be around 99% effective if your taking it correctly but it wont protect against stis and stds condoms will prevent most of them

Answer #2

so as long as im consistent with my pills, I will be 99% protected even if it was originally just 4 my period? awesome! thx mikeh!

Answer #3

Yes. The reasons for being on the pill doesn’t have any impact on its effectiveness. If the pill is being taken each and every day at the same time, you’re 99% protected against the development of a womb parasite.

Answer #4

They are WRONG! #1 there are no “womb parasites”. #2 if you are taking antibiotics for certain infections the antibiotics can cancel out the birth control. #3 women can get pregnant on birth control, even if taken daily. If you are on the pill and don’t want a baby, get the guy to wear a condom. If you are unable to find birth control or condoms try to locate a free clinic.
