Would you prefer one more expensive present from your friends on your birthday or 5 smaller ones?

Me and 4 of my friends want to get our other friend a Thomas sabo bracelet for her 16th because basically her parents don’t buy her much. I dont wanna make it seem like charity or anything but I’m hoping she’ll be grateful for the present, do you think she might be insulted by it in any way.. If we don’t explain any reason as to why we did it for her and no one else?

She could feel curious and maybe even ask about it, but look on the good side. Your showing her you care and you want to make her day special. Im sure your presents will make her happy. Even if she may feel like its because she doesnt get much, it shows that you want to get her something to make her happy. Always think positive. The 5 little gifts are a great idea. I think getting her one big expensive thing would be more “insulting” than five smaller ones. You can find really great things that are so cheap and would be a perfect birthday present. And to make it even more special, you can make her handmade things. Its not showing an insult in anyway and its even more precious. Like a wooden box and carve your names onto it and fill it with pictures and memories of all of you. =))

I prefer getting more smaller ones. If there is a bigger thing that they have seen and know I would love though, then I would like to get that as they have obviosuly put thought into it and want me to have it. The bracelet is such a lovely idea and it is nice for your friends to come together to get it her.

Personally I would all go in on that and then maybe get something very small each as well, like a pen with her favourite disney character on/ a stuffed toy/ a nice key chain/ an ornament of some sort/ some nice hairclips/ candy. You could wrap them all up and explain they are only tiny things, but you wanted her to have a few things to open as well because you have chipped in together for a big present you know she will love.

I am sure she would never be insulted by a lovely gesture like that. It is not like you have bought her a bracelet each and are acting like you all have way more money than her or something.

I’d be fine with one small one, honestly. I don’t usually ask for anything from friends or family. I’m thankful for anything I get.

Answer #6

5 small ones, I get open a lot with five.(:

Answer #7

I always thought it was better to get several smaller things than one big thing, With one thing it can be used only for that purpose. But when you have several different things, you have things for mulitple purposes.

Answer #8

I’d rather get one big one because it’s hard to save up enough money for a big thing, so if I’m getting a group present, I’d rather have that. It’s pretty easy to save up for a little thing to get for yourself. I hope that makes sense, lol.

I dont think you should be asking us this question. I think it depends on the person and more importantly on the gifts. If it is a bracelet I’d really love, I’d rather have the bracelet than 5 smaller things that I dont really like or know what to do with. Honestly though, I’d be grateful no matter what the gift was. So I wouldnt worry about it. Also, why would she be insulted. You guys got together to give her a gift because you love her. Honestly, the intentions depend on you. Why on earth can’t you just be buying her a gift because you care about her. Why do you have to be buying a gift out of charity (honestly, I’d prefer no gift if those were the intentions).

Answer #10

1 present (cost not important) that says I know who you are and you’ll love this!

Answer #11

I wouldnt care. If my friends wanted to get me anything at all for my birthday I would be very happy. I dont expect anything from them, and our friendship means more to me then birthday presents, big or small.
