how can i get my period to go lighter ?

Best go see your doctor if it’s really bad but if it isn’t you kinda just need to man up and get used to it.

I have really bad heavy periods and I have really bad period pains but I don’t take medication or anything like that. I just live through it (:

The most common way periods are lightened or shortened is by using medication (doctors commonly prescribe the pill). I realize that you do not want to use this option, but if your period is an issue, you’re going to have to go through the discomfort of talking to your doctor in order to feel better. Taking baths or any of that will not achieve the result you want.

Just use a big pad.. You’ll be alright ;)

i suggest going on birth control, it really lightened my period. talk to your doctor and tell him/her all your concerns and they will know how to help! best of luck :)

You can go on birth control? I’m not sure about that, but you could ask your doctor about it and explain what you want. But I don’t think that there is any other way to get it to be lighter.

there’s nothing you can do about your period unless you have surgery or go on birthcontrol.

i had the same problem, im 16 and have had my period since i was 10, and it was so heavy i had huge blood clots which aren’t good for you. i just recently went into the obgyn for the first time and am now on birthcontrol and its really helping my issue.

but other than those two things there’s not much you can do.
