What do you think about people giving sarcastic answers to idiotic questions?

sarcasm can be fun, and usually stems around intelligence humor and wit. Being condescending and offensive is the other end of the scale. and just screams idiocy. I guess i have two schools off thought on responding to dumb questions, for the most part why bother, it takes too much effort to point out the obvious. on the other hand it can sometimes be fun to point out the obvious lol. beats people googling there answers and posting it which has been driving me nuts on here lately.. and its the same people gah..

Honestly if it’s an absolutely idiotic question yes I believe we have every right to give a sarcastic answer back.

I agree with patb. Sarcasm is fitting, but telling someone that they are an idiot isn’t sarcastic, that is just rude.

I think it depends on exactly what they say…if they just say “No, it wouldn’t hurt to get a tattoo on your whole back! It would be the best feeling in the world!!!!…of course it would hurt a bit, don’t be silly.” Then that would be sarcastic, but not necessarily bad. However, if they say “Are you stupid, what kind of questions is this, you need to go back to school IDIOT!!!” then that would be rude, and uncalled for…

I think if you can’t answer the question nicely, or somewhat helpful…then simply don’t answer it at all.

I do agree,if sarcastic answers are given to question which are so obvious,then it will be okay,these questions annoy me the most.

Some people are just THICK AS SHI.T! Everyone knows that, I think its ignorant for people to be sarcastic and its even worse for them to be rude.

yes this type of questions make our favourate site boring and do make it silent,yes they deserve tough answers,specially in pregnency questions.

I luuuvvv sarcasm. It’s like my thing, im too good at it NOT to do it. although some questions are pretty stupid, i dont think answering all sarcasticly would help the person in their situatuon.
