Why do people get so freaked out,when you bring up religion or the end of time?

Because people fear death and hate conflict.

You are going to have to be more specific by who these people are that get freaked out. And exactly what about religion you’re talking about. Religious beliefs tend to have an impact on people’s values and beliefs and thus the things they do. For example, the idiotic abstinence only education that was pushed through by the far right. Religious beliefs have a direct impact on laws and people’s rights. I would think people would get a little freaked out about it. Also, again, end of time. We’ll ignore the juvenile ‘is the world going to end in 2012’ and ‘OMG I dont want to die’ stuff. Because that sort of hysteria is really not worth taking seriously. But what happens if for example you’ve got people in power who seriously believe that a war in the middle east including the Jews is going to bring about end times, and all the Christians will float up to heaven as a result, isnt that something to be concerned about? That someone may actually want to provoke a war to fast track the second coming?

becuz people dont want to accept Death. They know everyday its a step closer cuz Death is a promise. Face it, it is scary. o.O

If they are, they shouldn’t. Every generation has had people that believed they were living in the end times, or had apocalyptic beliefs of some kind. This generation is certainly no different. We should be used to it by now!

There is nothing to be afraid of !

Either they are unaware of it or they think of themselves to be someone greater than the other. And neither do they know about time. Many times they get bored of it totally. Its like one does not know English at all yet if we talk to him in English he is certain to get bored and freaked out.
