one that will fully watch over their child and keep them safe. one that will feed them and play with them and pay attention to them. depending on the age, but always pay regular attention to the childs needs if the child can speak. if not just ask for signs and noises that would indict what the baby wants. the parents will be impressed by that

You should definetly put that you are certified. That’s a big impressive thing. It’s also good to put on your flyer apx how much you would charge. If you are certified in first aid or CPR, that’s also something that’s trusting. You can maybe add in something that you do have expierience and it’s not your first time babysitting. Jesus_and_me, is right. Paying attention to the kid is a good idea. Well obviously lol. But anyways, they will also judge you on how you dress. So when you meet the parents, make sure that you are wearing clothes that really cover you up completely. And sometimes, as a preventive measure, you shouldn’t even wear dangly jewelry. I had an expierience where the mom of the child specifically asked me not to wear dangly jewelry because her child liked to pull on it. Or if I took it out and put it somewhere that her daughter would choke on it. =] Just some things I’ve learned.

In all honesty, I wouldn’t put excessive details on it. You advertise that you have the certification and any other vital details (hourly rate perhaps, when you’re willing to work), but let them call you to find out the rest. The talk they have with you will be the most important thing they remember.

As for what they want.. Parents look for someone who is mature and reliable. They want someone who is good with kids, and someone who is responsible. In basics.. they want someone they can trust with their kids.Show them that you’re capable of it, the rest is up to them.

Answer #5

Someone trustworthy. Doesn’t smoke drink etc. Good grades. Doesn’t get in trouble. Someone who knows what to do in case of an emergency. Someone who gets along with kids. Someone interesting who can keeps kids entertained. Someone who knows how to cook.
