Well i have long experience working with children as a summer camp counselor and after school program tutor with elementary school children ect... One of the parents suggested that i should look into babysitting position that i would be good for it. I would do that but as you may know, there are some parents who are uncomfortable with having other men watch over their children in there house. LifeTime movies make men look like monsters. But i wanna know if any one you parents would actualy hire a male babysitter "Manny" and why? Should i actualy go foward to trying to get babysitter gigs?
Alright, this is absolutely nothing personal, but probably not. It's not Lifetime making up stories, but the statistics show that most offenders are male and someone the kid knows well (baby sitters are high up on that list). Obviously most guys wouldnt do that, but I dont think I'd ever be comfortable. However, you are likely to find quite a few people who would hire a male babysitter, and if it's something you enjoy doing, there's no harm in letting people know.
If you are interested and want to do babysitting,then please try.YES,i would hire a male babysitter if i know that he is good at his work and can handle kids well.You should know some boy kids love to have their babysitters as boys only and they get along with them very fast.plus you are experieced,so why not trying and earn? All you need to do is to make other parents feel that you are experienced,reliable,can handle kids and their kids are safe with you. :)
If he is reliable, and you trust him. You should also make sure you get as much information about any baby sitter, male or female. Make sure before hiring a baby sitter, they have references, so that you can call the past homes they have baby sat at, and they can tell you whether they are a good trust worthy baby sitter or not. If someone doesn't have any references, that means they are either inexperienced, or hiding something.
i had two "mannies" theyre were really great and it was fun cause the guys didn't mind playing in mud wwith me the girls thought it was disgusting so they were fired :( they were my "mannies" for like 5 years personally i think theyre better with wild kids
thanks!!!! i think i may actualy push foward witht this. But i dont know how to even start looking for babysitting jobs. I have no young relatives and its completly against the rules to babysit the kids i work with. Think you can help me out?
So make sure you provide information about your experience with children. Give them the numbers to call so they can check to see if you actually worked there, and if you were good with the children.
I think you should, i had a male babysitter when i was little My parents hired him because he had experience and was good with kids:) (he babysat me for 2 years)
Like Irene said if he was reliable then of course. It shouldn't matter what the person's gender is to determine how well of a babysitter they are
You can put posters around your area,in grocery store,chemist etc. make them neat and tidy with your name and telephone number.
yes if he was dependable and had a clean back ground check and is mature for his age...
I would hire any baby sitter, male or female if I knew them and trusted them.
