Does food coloring work for painting Easter eggs, or is there some speical solution needed to paint them?
You can also use natural dyes, like boiling the eggs with a load of onion skins (a beautiful polished orange/brown effect) or turmeric (bright yellow). I had a lot of fun with that this year. Someone on this site gave me a really good link with advice on natural dyes - I can't find it at the moment because there seems to be a bug in the site, but I'll try to pass it on to you later.
no you can use food coloring!! Like put some in a bowl, mix it with water, put and egg into it, and get like something to get it out, and let dry!
yupps!! it does work =) but this year I decorated them by drawing designs with sharppies!! and it turned out nicely!!
putting a little white vinegar into the dye, no matter what type, makes the colors a little more vivid.
yes put it with vinugor
