Answer #1

have you tryed laying in a not so bright area and layed down?

Answer #2

Have you tried excedrin migraine? My fiance has small tumors in his brain and gets migrains quite frequently and they seem to work for him. Other than that, laying down in a very cold and completely dark room helps. You should try going back to a doctor or specialist if the continue to get worse though.

I feel your pain…I’ve suffered with migraines now for 24 years. Trust me when I say, nothing has worked….I was basically told that it’s something I have to live with, but if you’re lucky enough, there are preventative medications that might be able to help you…have you seen a neurologist? Keep going back to your doctor until he refers you to one.

Answer #5

Do you know things that trigger your migraines? Keeping a headache diary sometimes helps you see patterns that lead up to a headache. Red wine, chocolate, caffeine, processed meats, cheese, asparatame and MSG are common triggers, Avoiding migraine triggers is often your best defense.

I find that if I take ibuprofen at the very first sign of a migraine I can avoid the worst of it. If I don’t take it in time it doesn’t seem to help at all. I carry ibuprofen with me almost everywhere I go.

For debilitating headaches there are prescription medications that may help. My mom takes Imitrex. Some other medications including antidepressants, stimulants, and blood pressure medications are sometimes used off label to prevent migraines.

Good luck and talk to your doctor.

Answer #6

Try drinking water? I heard somewhere headaches and migraines can be caused from dehydration.

Answer #7

I take Imitrex and it works great. You can only get it with a prescription, but honestly I’m not sure if they’ll allow it at your age. Check with your doctor to see if he’s willing. Otherwise, a dark room, with a cool towel over your eyes helps.

Answer #8

Go to the doctor and get a professional opinion.

Answer #9

my mum has this mask which is a lightmask, it shines lights in your eyes, but it helps for some reason she uses it before she gets a migrane, because she can usually tell when they come.
