Who knows if older dogs need the parvo shot?
does a 1 and a lahf year old dog need a parvo shot? when i went to get the shots for my god they said the distemper and rabies were the ones needed and they didn’t say anything about the parvo one but then my aunt said her dogs got vaccinated for that and her dogs are older…so im kind of confused…
Has your dog ever had a parvo shot before? Puppies and older dogs (year and a half is still technically a puppy) are more likely to catch parvo, because their immune systems aren’t as strong. If he/she already had their parvo shot, he/she doesn’t need another. If not, you need to get it’s shots asap. Talk to your vet, just to be safe. It’s better to spend the $20 for the shot instead of risking your dog’s life and spending $1,000+ in hospital bills.

A dog needs their distemper/parvo shot every year up until they are probly 7 or 8 because then their immune system will be built up enough.
