Hi. I want to get my ears pierced and I think that they would look good pierced. However, I am afraid. I have a phobia of piercings, needles, shots, etc. Basically anything that pierces the skin. I really believe that this phobia is stupid. When I broke my foot only days ago, I didn't even cry. I thought it was a sprain and tried walking again. I don't know how I'm afraid of piercing my ears, but didn't even think breaking my foot was that bad. (I'm not even worried about the pain of the piercing, just the fact that it is going through my skin). Hopefully this makes sense..
Most definitely makes sense!! Every 1 has some kind of phobia or aversion to certain things. Well, the good new is that the instrument they use doesn't even look like a needle and it really isn't. (I won't go into detail, I think that may make you worse!!). (:
Bad part is the instrument looks similar to a staple gun. Not trying to make you wig out or anything, but if you have never seen 1 then with your fear I feel you need to be prepared a little. Ya know? It hurts initially--kinda like a REALLY. BIG. Bee sting, then it starts to lessen. The first night may be a little roigh with minor pain and discomfort and should start to feel better. Clean the sites as directed and KEEP THEM CLEAN. Because an infection is going to hurt a WHOLE LOT MORE! than it did to pierce them!!! You will be fine, only takes a secomd and whap, whap---your done!!

Phobias are no joke and they can hinder you in day to day life.No,it's not a stupid phobia,if you look up a list youll find some on there that just seem ridiculous and some that are very ironic and a few oxymoron phobias as well.Like Arachibutyrophobia-Fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth.But yeah like twilightmom said its really not bad at all.Youll be fine.I have a few phobias myself,but I wont get into that.
If you are going to get just a regular ear piercing it is not anything at all. It happens so quick that it is virtually pain free. Just keep your eyes closed.
well every one at my school thinks it gay to have one but that what they say and I you can but watch out,,!!!1
