my grandpa died...

am I a bad person because I dont want to go to his funural and lay out..

It won’t make you a bad person, but it would be a show of respect to attend - He was family - I don’t know you or the circumstances, but there is a chance that later in life, you will wish you had attended.

Dear 072306, It’s okay not to attend funerals. Some people wish to remember their loved ones as they were; alive and smiling. He was your Grandfather but you stated you didn’t love him without explanation so speak with a parent explaining that you would prefer not to go and that this isn’t a sign of disrespect but one of preference.
