Is it true that when 1 person dies, 2 more people have to die because they are in your network?

the day my father died.. he was like well 2 more people are gonna die.. im like wat are you talkin bout?? and he was like well your dad died.. i said yea but a few months ago my moms patient died.. (my mommy works for the mentally challenged) and a few months before that my dads ex wife died of cancer.. so 3 ppl died in my network which was weird.. but is it true??

No - it’s an old wives tale. Just imagine how many people would end up dying if that were true … for example, your father died, so two more people relating to him have to die … then 2 more people related to those people need to die - another 4 deaths … then 2 people for each of those to people, and you’re up to 8 … and so on. Basically, it would cause a domino affect that would eventually result in the effective termination of the human race. People die all the time - it’s only because you’re looking for the “three” that it seems to be happening … I don’t think your mother’s patient has any real connection to your father.

Its not exactly that two people have to die. Its just that bad things happen in three’s so there could be someone in your family die then someone else you know get cancer and another person get in a car wreck but that’s just an example

I have heard that before but it simply is not true. It is a superstition that bad things happen in three’s on anything from tornados and hurricanes to car parts going bad. Belief in superstitions cause can cause people to “look” for more bad things to follow the first one and eventually may find them, but they are un-related.

well i do believe if 1 person dies theres a new begginning.because on the 23rd december last year my grandma died,thenmy cat got run over but she only broke her leg and made a full recovery, then my mum had a few pains in her tummy on chrismas day and i joked around a said i bet ur pregnant haha and a few weeks later she was she was a couple weeeks pregnant so i believee in a part of a new beggining
