My Goldfish

how big of tank should a about 3 inch goldfish have. Sherbet (my goldfish) just grew a lot. and he has a 2.65 gallon. The next size up in the store near by is 5 gallon tank. Do you think I should get that?

Goldfish will grow as large as their habitat, life span and food source will let them. A five gallon tank for one goldfish should be all the bigger of a tank you should ever need, though, so it would be a good investment. Be careful changing your fish’s tank. Goldfish are pretty hardy, but make sure you neutralize the chlorine in your water and make the temperature of the water in the new tank as close as possible to the temperature in the old tank to reduce the risk of shock that could kill your fish.

deffinetly. your poor little fishy will get distressed. even if its dumber than a peanut.. and he may die! they like bigger tanks. I suggest a 10 gallon tank. incase he grows. :)

Answer #3

Goldfish have a memory of only a few seconds. (seriously) they will never get board even swimming around in small circles.
