My brother is dying of boredom - help!

Hi, my brother needs some help.

This summer he is feeling really bummed because all there is that he can do is play on the PS2 and go on the computer. He spends a lot of time on both and then gets bored. He’s only 13, so he can’t drive anywhere or go too far from the house. Our parents are gone a majority of the day, so they can’t take us anywhere either. The only days we can go somewhere during the daytime is the 2 days our dad is off work, and sometimes dad is too tired to take us anywhere, or we just go to the same places we always go to.

I’ve been feeling this way too, but it’s not that bad, because I’m involved in 2 plays this summer, and I’m picking up new hobbies, like drawing and working out. He isn’t involved in anything, but he likes to read. Though he refuses to read more than one chapter per day (I don’t know why). For some reason, his friends haven’t talked to him much, either.

So based on all of this, is their anything else he can do? He came to me with the question, but I couldn’t come up with a good answer. I’m a bit concerned for my little brother. Thanks!

MY BROTHER IS THE SAME AGE AND IS THE EXACT SAME WAY!!! get him to call is friends, bring him to the library, get him to walk places? I dont really know. my little brother is the same and I cant get him to do anything unless I bribe him.

maybe he came to you to see if you cud do anything with him? Maybe you and him can play board games or cardgames. Or you can try and find some of his friends # and have him give them a call and jusst tlk to them for a while..

if I were you I would help him find sum of his friends figure out wats going…get him 2 tlk 2 gurls…u dont want him 2 get stuck in that I have no life are I rele lazy stage…becuss then hell cary it out through his whole life
