Mom won't let me do anything

My mom won’t let me do anything. When I ask to go out with my friends she says it’s too late when it’s between 4-5:30 and it doesn’t get dark until like 8 p.m. Maybe. And I asked her to let me get my ears pierced(second hole) and she kept putting it off eventually I got them done when I was with my sister 3 weeks ago. And she’s always like I’m her best-friend, and she’s mine too but it’s getting to be a bit much. When I try to talk to her she just won’t listen and we end up arguing. What should I do??

Answer #1

I guess shes just protective of you. is she like this with your sister? mabye just go with the flow but make her see that you are the only one living like this. also a good idea is to stay at your friend’s houses so you can be out with your friends later. but hopefully she will lighten up as you get older. shes most probably worried. dont fight with her tho.. thats the worst thing lol.x

Answer #2

Well make her listen. She’ll have to listen eventually. Do it when you are both in good moods or else neither of you will cooperate.

Seems like your mom doesn’t want to face the fact that you are growing up. You need to make her listen or else you’ll end up being a “rebel” child according to her. She’ll think you don’t want to ask her for anything or permission when really you know she’ll just put you off. Let her know how you feel. Make her understand.

Answer #3

I guess shes just trying to help you out for your future.
