Does migraines cause the feeling of reality being a dream?

Almost as if things morph?

Answer #1

That’s not a symptom I’ve heard of, and if it is it probably is pretty uncommon. Maybe you should try a doctor, psychiatric symptoms shouldnt be taken lightly.

Answer #2

My vision has been poor. its the 3rd day in a row that i’ve felt this way and its kind of like i’m in a dream state. It feels like i could do something crazy and not get in trouble for it because it doesn’t feel real

Answer #3

Check out this survey: [link removed] There’s a couple of visual disturbance-related symptoms on that list. Do any of them match what you’re experiencing?

Answer #4

oops, forgot about posting links (and how I can’t do it). Go to curetogether.com and search for migraine :)

Answer #5

Answer #6

sometimes i get them so bad i think so. lol. and when i drink water i feel weird too. maybeeee. i dont know what it is though.

Answer #7

before I get a migraine, I feel really strange. Things start to look strange and different, and I sometimes experience depersonalisation and derealisation. It tends to get worse, until I pretty much lose my vision, and everything starts to look like an over-developed photograph, which is usually when the actual headache will set in. Wikipedia has a discription of migraine with aura which I find a pretty accurate depiction of what I usually experience

Answer #8

As a kid I had a similar thing. But what was the reason behind the migraines was my neck being out of alignment. It may not be yours, but it wouldn’t help to see a chiropractor. They also would advise what vitamin supplements to take if your body is nutritionally deficient. Deficient in nutrition could also be the reason for migraines. You could also Google migraines which supplements to take.

Answer #9

I get vision loss and feel really out of it when I get migraines (I don’t get them that often). so yes, what you are experiencing is actually a symptome. My friend gets more or less the same. It’s almost like you are drunk in a way, it’s just not nearly as much fun.

Answer #10

*symptom.
