Is there something I can do to make my metabolism faster and better. Im 5’7 and weigh 180 pounds. Please help

So you’re basically looking for a way to allow you to eat whatever you want and lose weight. Not gonna happen. You’re metabolism is your metabolism. It can be altered to a very slight degree, but a person who naturally has a slow metabolism will never have a fast metabolism (though the opposite isn’t true). The only way to lose weight is to actually get some willpower and do something about it. Calculate your bmr and subtract about 300 calories from that. Only eat low glycemic carbohydrates (whole wheat, oatmeal, sweet potatoes), lean sources of protein (chicken, turkey, <4% ground beef), and essential fats (fish, flax seed oil, avocado, fish oil, seeds, nuts). Start a workout plan that involves high intensity interval training for your cardio 3 days a week, and weights 3 days a week. If you really want something to happen, you have to make it happen.

eat plenty of green vegetables, eat a lot of foods, that are high in fiber and iron. these two things will help you metabolism the most. it also would help to take a one-a-day supplement. there sold everywhere to include walmart

I have a workout plan and run for 30 minutes 3 times a week. I took sodas out of my diet so hopefully that helps. also someone told me to drink a lot of water when im hungry, if its not the right time to eat. and I didnt say I wanted to eat anything and everything and not change my diet. dont go making assumptions. and I dont know what bmr means.

I eat 3 meals a day, sometimes 2 because im not really hungry for breakfast. I try to eat a nutrigrain bar to start my metabolism. but I snack, like a bag of chips b/w meals

I heard smoking speeds up your metabolism (lol) but don’t start smoking :P

BMI stands for Body mass index. Google it to find some calcylators (I’m positive jasonbrycew meant bmi)

I don’t think you can speed up your metabolism as it’s just how fast your body converts food into energy. I guess you can diet? I guess?
