Can a mall ban you from ever coming back?

Yep they sure can

If you get caught shoplifting you may get banned from a single store but if it is something were the police gets involved then it may be the whole mall. It happened to me from an office supply store a few years back.

Is called “86” and they have to give you a paper and something signed that you can’t come back and you can only be banned if is temp period not forever. 86 is forever and I know bc,I been banned from some clubs lol..not the mall.

Yes if course they can. It’s not a public building after all. It doesn’t belong to the state or municipality. It belongs to the mall owner. And he can tell anyone he doesn’t like there to go away. Or he can decide to close the mall for everyone on Tuesdays from noon to 2 PM for no visible reason. And no customer could do anything. The shop owners could if their contracts say that the mall is open at usual business times.

Though it would be very bad publicity if a mall owner banned anyone for personal reasons. And they could get sued for discriminating if they ban people for racist or similar reasons. It would also take them to the national news for sure. So they will not do that.

They usually ban people for stealing, for vandalism, for public indecent behavior or for committing any other crime in there.
