How to make new friends at lunch?

Okay so I have first lunch at my high school. And eveybody I know has second lunch! I cant switch, I already asked. So does anybody have any tips on how to make some new friends @ lunch? I scared to go up to someone and ask if I can sit with them…

You have to at least have an acquaintance in your lunch! Basically, its time to lower yourself a bit and sit with a group that isnt your first pick otherwise you could also eat lunch at the library, as depressing as that sounds…lol

Well I was in your situation its not that hard just be your self just go to a comfortable table and sit and say hi then wait a couple seconds and start eating an then just ask a person what grade are you in how are you liking the school and etc. After that the person will start the conversation or you can just be friendly and tell them your feelings of everything then before you know it you have made a friend!!

What I did,was on the first day,I went up to a nice looking group of kids at a table,and asked them if they knew where my next class was. After talking a while,I ended up sitting with them,and that worked out perfectly.

Another thing you could do,is if you already know where your classes are,find someone at your lunch who has one of the same classes as you,and start a conversation with them.This way,not only do you have a friend fo lunch,but you also have one for that class.
