liver enzymes to high

does any one know how to lower liver enzymes in a dog help please

Answer #1

Discuss it with a veteranarian. They should know.

Answer #2

I’m assuming the Vet did a blood work up, and one of the enzymes was high…(there are several liver enzymes that show up in routine blood work). There could be a number of reasons why it is high…and HOW high it is, would also be taken into consideration. If it’s only a little over what it should be, it may go down on it’s own…or it may become the “norm” for this dog. depending on it’s age.

Call the Vet back and ask…which one is high, and how high is it? Is there something I should feed, perhaps, to help bring it down? It may be, that the level isn’t high enough to worry about, just something to keep an eye on in the future. (my Westie had one high level enzyme for the last half of her life…she lived happy and healthy till she was 15)…

yup talk to the vet, if blood work was done on the dog and the doctor was worried then they should have put the dog on meds.
