Lip piercing healing process

I have a little bit of green gunk coming out of my labret piercing on my lip, how do I clean it out? I have tried mouthwash but I have to keep washing it for about 10 minutes till all the gunk comes out but it keeps coming back. what is the salt solution? does it work? what works best for getting rid of this infection & how many times a day to I need to clean it?

it may not actually be infected and its actually normal for that “gunk” to be comming out. it’ll probably do that for about a week after getting it done. I just used a cotton swab with antibacterial soap on the tip (hydrogen paroxide works too, but may hurt a little) and wiped the green stuff away. dont pick at it though it messes with it healing. you only need to use mouthwash after eating too.

I’ve been thinking about getting a lip piercing too and I’ve also been going on lots of internet websites and in most of them I have read that if you put hidron dioxide on it then it will kill all the good cells that are trying to heal the infection or just normally heal it when you barley got it pierced.

Actually when I got my lip done, she told me that its normal for white puss to come out of it after about a week, and for about a week. she also told me that when its green its infected, and you need to go to the doctor imediately because what you pierced is blood tissue, so if the infection stays there, itll enter your blood stream and cause some serious problems. so go to the doctor asap if its green…
