Is it a lie when a man tells a woman she doesn't need makeup?

No, this isn’t some insecurity of mine. They were talking about it on the radio, and some interesting points were brought up. A man may say that just because he doesn’t want to wait for his girl to put on makeup, or he could just think that she’s ugly beyond makeup (their words, not mine). What are your thoughts, or if you are a man, what are your reasons for saying that to a woman?

I don’t think so…From personal experience, my brothers and boyfriend prefers not to kiss or lick someone they are dating who has wears pancake make-up……But, I still think a woman should wear some make-up, whether it is tinted moisturiser, lip gloss or mascara and eye liner. Bare face should be for stay at home only just my opinion.

Answer #2

I honestly think it varies guy to guy, my boyfriend is oblivious enough to where he genuinely doesn’t even notice the difference. Some men like make up some dont, it’s all a matter of preference :)

i was seeing a girl for a few weeks a month or so back and she wore hardley any makeup and still managed to look fantastic… i prefer natural as possible so when i say it im not lying…. but i think a lot of men would lie about it to get them to the party on time

I believe it is a lie…but not a harmful one. There are some thing i would just rather my fiance tell me even though they may not be truthful sometimes. lol. I want him to tell my butt does not look huge, that im the same size i was before i got pregnant, that im beautiful even in the morning with bad breath and makeup all over my face, etc. I dont care if they are white lies they make me feel good lol

Answer #9

Well some girls really don’t need makeup.THe worst you can do is put a ton on..it looks horrible and it can get in ur eyes. If you have a natural beauty well then maybe no makeup to just a lil mascara and lipstick.

Answer #10

I don’t think women need makeup. I can see wearing some when getting a portrait done or going out for a fancy night on the town but our current demand for people to look as close to perfect as possible all the time is unreasonable.

I vote to only wear makeup on special occasions. The rest of the time go au naturel.

Answer #11

I think they like you better with makeup but either way is fine for them, if they love you they love in whatever your wearing make up, sexy bra, granny panties,, they still love you n think ur beautiful.. my boyfriend says it to me but i take a while to get ready so he has to sit around every time we go out.. i think he says it just to get out the house faster lol x

Answer #12

I think if they say it, it’s true. My fiance (of 8 years) swears he likes me more without makeup. So I rarely use it :) He’s happy and I’m happy not to have the hassle.

Answer #13

No it’s not a lie, most already beautiful women put on make up and either look no more prettier then before or they worst, like a clown or halloween mask or an alien or a drag queen, but it’s cool if that was whatv they were going for

Answer #14

no he loves u with or without make up thats a good thing

Answer #15

I think it depends on the guy, really. The last guy I dated liked makeup on me until he realized that other guys liked it too. xD That’s when he went on saying that I looked fantastic without it, haha. Jealous thing he was. It made him feel quite insecure.

Speaking from a personal point of view, though, I always told my ex-girlfriend (while we were still dating) that she looked beautiful without the makeup on. My reason for telling her that was because, for one, she was beautiful without it. Secondly, I wanted her to know that she could be herself around me, and that I’d love her regardless. I also told her that because, at that point in the relationship, the love I had for her made every imperfection disappear. She was perfect to me, so she didn’t need to try to perfect herself more.

Again, though, everyone has their own reason for saying it. While some people say it for nice reasons, I’m sure there’s quite a few out there who say it for the bad ones too.

Answer #16

My husband literally gets mad at me when I put on makeup, unless I randomly go for some goth look that seemingly turns him on…lol. I have to sneak the foundation to avoid evil stares :)

Answer #17

Reply to this…goth is cool

Answer #18

I dont think is a lie when a man tells a woman she doesnt need makeup. that what they called natural beauty. Some women actually have pure perfect skin so they dont have to put much make ups to attract guys.

Answer #19

IDK I think it depents I don’t really wear make-up anyway b/c im just 14 but my dad and boyfriend don’t like it wear makeup. But I think I look pretty without make up anyway…..I don’t like it when my mom wears make up either. Her face smells funny and looks sometimes clayish.

Answer #20

It’s ok with a little just not a lot or the eyeshadow stuff I hate that
