What was Joseph, the ‘earthy’ father of Jesus really like? There’s not really that much about him in the bible. Did he have a good relationship with Jesus? I’ve heard that he was a lot older than Mary and possibly had other children from a previous relationship…

There is a very good possibility that “Joseph” had died before Yeshua set out to work. His life was recorded by those who followed Yeshua, his father probably wasnt mentioned because he died. But that is only my theory, no biblical evidence to its contrary or to support it.

he was a good father to jesis! and he was a lot older then mary but he only had chilrdren with mary no one else!

As far as I’ve read,not much is stated about Joesph except that he was a carpenter and was older then mary.That’s my problem with the bible;thiers too many gaps and loops left out of the story.

But speaking from a human,Wiccan perspective here,I would say Joesph,in his right mind would know better than to mistreat the supposed Son of God.That could’ve brought serious consequences for him.I’m shure Joesph and Jesus probably had a good relationship though.
