Is this before Christ or after death?

I was reading that anyone who sleeps with a woman who is pledged to be married they shall both be killed by the husband. Is this still the way it is?Or was this the old testament before Christ? If it is still in effect do YOU think it’s fair?I personally do b/c it say’s that two people who are truly in love and try as hard as they can to obey Gods will will not deal with this because the home is happy. So I think that if people are just SAYING they are Christs followers but don’t show it and they do get in this situation I think it’s fair!!! (This is just MY oppinion)

Old mosaic law. . . . . . but it’s still a sin, but we won’t kill you for it. . .

Answer #2

WE do not live under that law, now, however, if we sin… we still die.. spiritually. Jesus came to set us free from the law of sin and death, and to give us life everlasting. He is the way, the truth and the life, if we follow him, we shall walk in the light, because he is the light.

Answer #3

Is that still the way it is!? Thank dogs our legal system is not based on such barbaric standards as found in the Bible!

Answer #4

I’ve noticed a lot of people think A.D. stands for ‘after death’

But that would leave NO time for his thirty (plus or minus) year life, now would it?

Answer #5

A.D. is Anno Domini ( Year of our Lord), BUT if your non christian it is C.E. Common Era.

Answer #6

Totally Old Testament - not relevant A.D. (In the year of Our Lord.)

I don’t quite understand your opinion and your reasons for it, though.

Answer #7

my reasons are for you marry who you love.If you marry someone and you can cheat how is that considered love?If the person who then divorces you or you him than if you marry another man you are committing adultry b/c the other guy is still alive and by him being dead you are no longer being chained to him and sinning.I don’t think someone should be killed if they cheat but I’m sayig that if the husband did do it I don’t think God would be angry.

Answer #8

Errr… well… that’s beside the point.

Answer #9

When Christ said on the cross ‘It is Finished’ and rose again the third day - all blood sacrifice was replaced by His blood - As a Christian, the only ‘sacrifice’ He requires of us today is daily ‘Praise’ - this I know: God being pure cannot even look upon sin - man, even in his very best state is a sinner - on judgement day, either: your sins are covered by the blood-shed sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross (salvation and only salvation - being a nice person isn’t good enough - even at our very best, we are but filthy rags), and remembered no more or they are not (your sins are not covered) - where God’s great love comes into play is, He provided a WAY (Jesus) for us not to perish and live in Heaven with Him (He certainly didn’t have to do this but did because He loved us so) - if you read carefully John 3:16, this is exactly what it says - each person will either accept or reject, you must decide for yourself and yes, it’s so important, it has eternal consequences - He Loves you and wants you to accept God’s free gift to man - Jesus…Hope this helps you !!
