Intake Manifold Gasket

Anyone ever have an intake manifold gasket go in their car? I have a 01 Grand Am Gt and mine went costing me almost 1200 bucks to get replaced. This included thermostat replacement, the gasket set, all new coolant and an oil change. Seems a bit high to me tho.

The intake gaskest commonly go on the GM 6 cylinders its all labor to take off intake manifold. seems a little steep but in the ball park. I would say $800

not really, intake manifold gasket is pretty much the same as the headgasket and requires a lot of labor as the whole engine has to be taken apart to get to it and you actually probably have the same engine as I do if you have the 6 cylinder version and mine cost 840 to get done but its because the mechanic was a family friend sorta and worked on it in one straight shot, 200 for the parts and 640 in labor
