Immigrating to ireland

Anyone immigrated to ireland or know how to go about doing it? We want to move there legally and begin working. What are the taxes like? Can my son go to school or do we have to wait until we are citizens? Any advice??? We are really serious about going and we have been working on how to get there. We are us citizens.

My husband and I immigrated to Dublin in October, and we’re quite enjoying it. I’ll funmail you with a bit of info. :)

I can tell you that Ireland is booming big right now, and you shouldn’t have any problems finding a job. I think it’s the fastest growing economy in Europe right now.

I’m not sure about the schools, but they have a fairly high value-added tax as 21%. They also have a progressive income tax, between 20% and 40%.

thanks mjax1979, I know they are booming now which is part of the reason we want to move quickly.

I see you’re in Germany, we love it there. One of my best friends lives in Munich, she is from Bedburg. We visited there a couple of years ago and if it weren’t for the language barrier we’d be there in a heartbeat. I think my 7 year old would have a tough time trying to learn German.

Thanks for the advise!!!
