Both can certainly take you to the point where relationships are ruined, job opportunities ruined, addiction sets in, and leads your life in a downward spiral from which you may never recover…hope none of this happens to you.

Answer #3

There are some cases of people addicted to weed, maybe it’s a mental addiction and not a physical one, but it is an addiction nonetheless… I do my research before talking… http://www.pslgroup.com/dg/83b4a.htm

As for alcohol not damaging the brain… Structural damage to the brain resulting from chronic alcohol abuse can be observed in different ways:Results of autopsy show that patients with a history of chronic alcohol abuse have smaller, less massive, and more shrunken brains than nonalcoholic adults of the same age and gender.

The findings of brain imaging techniques, such as CT scans consistently show an association between heavy drinking and physical brain damage, even in the absence of chronic liver disease or dementia.

Brain shrinking is especially extensive in the cortex of the frontal lobe - the location of higher cognitive faculties.

The vulnerability to this frontal lobe shrinkage increases with age. After 40 some of the changes my be irreversible.

Repeated imaging of a group of alcoholics who continued drinking over a 5-year period showed progressive brain shrinkage that significantly exceeded normal age-related shrinkage. Moreover, the rate of shrinkage correlated with the amount of alcohol consumed http://www.alcohol-drug.com/neuropsych.htm

Answer #4

I THINK ITS ALCOHOL.

Answer #5

good question…I would say alcohol is worse…only because you can be very abusive when you are drinking…I’ve known many people who are like that…and from experience weed is harmless…but it does ruin job opportunities…like me I quit smoking because I want a job…im don’t plane on starting back…it is very stressful…cause all I want is a good job…
