I had this indian ring neck for 10 or more years now and I never have problems with him... I come home from school about an hour ago and I found him perching on the bottom of his cage wich is unusual because hes usually on his stick ? he had his eyes closed barely could open them or barely balance ? its to late to take him to an avian vet now . so I searched up stuff on what to do with a sick bird and all it says is to keep him hydrated and warm ... wich im doing right now =( is there sumthing I can do besides just keeping him warm and keeping him hydrated ... is there now meds to add to his water or sumthing ? pls help =(
Oh honey I'm so sorry, you did all you could, I rescue baby blackbirds and crows all the time in the summer and I get attatched so I know what its like its like having one of your children die, but next time you get a bird and it gets sick, keep it warm, in a dark quiet place and make sure it has lots of fluids.
I did do that ... I think it died from old age ? I really dont noe what happen he was fine the day before and in the morning I come home for school and hes laying flat at the bottom of the cage.
Buy LS-50. Put 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per gallon of water.
Note: This information is from Google. Do not complain to me if it kills your bird.
its alright ... he didnt make it through the night anyways but thanks for your help
