I'm unbelievably thirsty all the time, I used to drink about 4 glasses of water a day and now I can't even keep track of my water intake, it seems like I'm always drinking. No matter how much I drink my throat still feels dry and it kinda hurts, the cold water soothes it for an little but then the feeling just comes right back. I have a hiatal hernia I'm not sure if this can have anything to do with that. Anyone have any ideas what this could be?
In very simple words, thirst is defined as a craving or desire to drink something. This is indicated by dryness in the throat and the mouth. This signal indicates that the body system is in need of some fluid. An excessively dry throat is called as a parched throat, and the act of drinking some fluid is called as quenching the thirst: http://www.ayushveda.com/health/excessive-thirst.htm
Take care !!
If you are constantly thirsty I think it is a sympton of diabetes. You should look it up see if you have any of the other symptons, if not your body must just be working a lot lately and needs a higher water intake :) All the best.
yeah. it could be diabetes.or high blood pressure.
