You’re not alone! I suffered from mild depression and it’s fading. You need to take one day at a time and think about why the Lord sent you here on earth. Maybe you need to be around people that’ll make you happy and smile everyday. Or, if the depression gets worse, I would suggest seeing a counselor to help you overcome this. Or, another thing you can do is funmail me. I’m willing to take on anyone’s problems and stick them with mine which mine would be in the back while yours or someone elses would be in front. It’s no fun suffering from depression! Just hang in there and count your blessings each day. We all feel alone at times but, we need to try to do uplifting things that’ll bring us closer to our Lord and Savior. If you attend church, ask your minister or pastor if he could find you something to do to strive for happiness and so forth. If you don’t attend church, I suggest checking one out and see if you’ll be able to mingle with people in that particular church. You just need to be around happy people and find other things that’ll make you happy such as doing a hobby you used to enjoy, ect. You just have to think about the people around you who love and probably care about you and take consideration on how they would feel. I myself didn’t realize I had many people in my life that really love and care for me. I also didn’t realize that when I was suicidal which was part of the depression, I scared the heck out of my leader from church. I just felt the same exact same way you’re experiencing. I wish you luck and try to feel better as each day passes by. Again, funmail me and let your emotions out! I know how it is to keep emotions in without telling anyone. At least not tell anyone right away. What I find for me and this might be helpful for you that spiritual leaders from churches help relieve symptoms of depression. And, counseling.

This is the way I look at it… I am not a starving child in Ethiopia, Nicaragua (etc) I am not a victim of hurricane Katrina I am not lost at sea (lol..)

basically, it could be much worse. Fun Mail me- tell me if there’s anything you need to get off your chest (seriously, people. grow up!)

By the way, I was not dismissing depression as an actual condition. you may actually need to go see a doctor and see what they think

Stay strong!

The Way To Achieve Happiness

It is the nature of every person to seek happiness. Some people strive to seek material happiness in this world away from religion, thinking that this is the true happiness. But this kind of happiness will be succeeded by pain and sorrow at the Day of Judgment, and its people will know that their striving led them only to misery and not happiness.

While others know that the true way to happiness is to obey God and follow His religion. For them the pleasures and riches of the world are of little consequence. When this happiness penetrates and fills the heart of the believer he does in fact live in this world as if he were in Paradise. Those are the people who find true happiness in this world.

What kind of happiness could be greater than that of someone who humbles himself to God, worships Him, strives for His pleasure, and strives to enter Paradise and have salvation from Hellfire?

The believer lives with such a sweetness in his heart that if the masters of the earth knew of it, they would fight him to death to take it from him. God has said:

Whoever does right, whether male or female, and is a believer, We will make him live a good life, and We will award them their reward for the best of what they used to do. (Quran, 16:97)

Happiness is in the good life mentioned in this verse, that even the rich disbelievers cannot find, despite the money they have. That is why we are not surprise when we know that many among them committed suicide.

To reach true happiness, we need to know what is the purpose of our life, how to reach success in the hereafter, and to fulfill the requirements of reaching this success by following the commands of God and His true religion.

We know much about Mars, Earth, moon, stars, and galaxies, thanks to the century of knowledge. But how much we know about our eternal life after death and how to reach success in the hereafter?

People need to eat every day to supply their bodies with energy and to keep themselves healthy. If they stop eating for a period of time, diseases will sneak up upon them and overtake them, and perhaps even kill them. Similarly, people also need food of another kind, food for the spirit and heart. It is unfortunate that while people are careful never to forget to feed their bodies, they do not show the same concern for the health of their souls and hearts. The heart needs food as the body does. The diseases of the body and the debilitating effects they have are not more dangerous than the diseases of the heart and soul.

I’m dealing with it, too. it’s a terrible disease, but you don’t have to suffer alone. I mainly came on here to help people with depression (mine is starting to fade). so, if you need someone to talk to, or you want someone to make you smile, contact me. no one deserves to suffer alone. Hang in there. if I can do it, so can you! :)

I have never felt so alone. and I just found myself crying at the gym… hang in there sweetie take one day at a time and hopefully one day it will be better. unfortionatly there is nothing else you can do. live by the philosophy, “just keep swimming, just keep swimming,” ( From Nemo)

Answer #8

If you’re a teenager, your problem might be hormone changes… and you’d need to see a doctor to get them in balance. If you’re not a teenager, you might be short on Omega 3’s, or seratonin, or vitamins or minerals… Take good care of your body…and you’ll feel better. Feel better, and you’ll have energy to do good things, and nice things for others ( if you get paid or if they’re just random acts of kindess) …Do good, and you’ll feel fulfilled, and happy, and needed, and worthy.
