you need to start eating slowly . and not puke. you should talk to your boyfriend. if hes a good guy and you really have been with him for 2 years than he will care enough to help you . call a hotline for that. you can look it up on the internet. it can seriously kill you and you dont want that you seem like your pretty happy with your boyfriend. and just think one day you died randomly and he had no clue as to why you died. I dont want to scare you hun but its the truth. just talk to you man about it. and be careful stop getting sick simple as that. just take it one step at a time.

omg babe your not going to die I was bulimic 4 about 9 years and im not dead I havent made my self throw up 4 about 2 years I stoped because my best friend/boyfriend begged me 2 stop he helped me to stp and then he helped me 2 stop cutting. so my advice would be let your friends help you and dont start cutting because that will be the stupidest thing you will ever do

I hope I helped (your not going to die so dont freak out)

Bulimia is a condition you can’t just get over, it’s happening because of something else in your life you feel like you can’t control. This mental hardship you’re going through means you need more help than you can get from your friends or yourself, go to a doctor! As a matter of fact, you should be really proud and thankful you have the strength to want to stop and to want to find help, so many bulemics go untreated because they are too afraid or trapped to find help. Go to your doctor, talk to your family, anyone who you trust, (your best friend’s parents even) but make sure it’s an adult, and they will definitely find a way to get you the proper treatment to help you. Tell your boyfriend, as well- he cares about you and would want to know, I think. You’ll feel better afterwards. Best of Luck!

The only thing you can do is see a doctor. They can give you medicine or if it’s bad enough, you might have to go to a treatment facility. It is worth it. It’s better than not doing anything about it. You’ll be fine. Please hit up my mail when you’ve found an answer.

I am a good person to respond to this because when I was 19, I was engaged to the late-singer Karen Carpenter, who died from anorexia and bulimia….she actually died of an overdose of Ipecac. I would like to see you go for professional help. Find a good counselor or therapist who specializes in this….tell your doctor….20% of people with this die from it..it is not something to fool around with…and, yes, by all means tell all the significant people in your life about this….it is a kind of disease and addiction and it can be treated, but you cannot do it by yourself….go for help.

thanks to all of you guys for your support and advice. i finally told my bf and seeing him cry was enough to make me stop. as of may 30, i am bulimia-free for one month. and i think im gonna be okay. i still have my days, but i just remember how much it hurt him and all those thoughts go away. looking back, it’s scary how bad it got and how unhealthy i was. the sparkle in my eyes has returned. thanks to all of you and to my bf travis, i love you babe!

The first step is asking for help and finding support. You’re friend is right, you need to stop. Ask her and your family for help. Bulimia nervosa, more commonly known as bulimia, is an eating disorder. It is a psychological condition in which the subject engages in recurrent binge eating followed by intentionally doing one or more of the following in order to compensate for the intake of the food and prevent weight gain: vomiting, inappropriate use of laxatives, enemas, diuretics or other medication, excessive exercising, fasting. If you fit into these categories then you need to find a clinic with a therapist or psychologist that can hep you stop your destructive tendencies. Here are some links that might help you out:
