How old in the uk do you have to be to get a tattoo?
I was wondering how old do you have to be in the uk to get a tattoo and do you need parental permission or them to be with you? and how much does a tattoo cost? I would like a black design on my lower back :) if you could help answer, would be great xx

its 18 even with parents permission if your under 18 no tattoo place is allowed to ink you unless there willing to break the law this is from the tattooing of minors acts 1969 “1.It shall be an offence to tattoo a person under the age of eighteen except when the tattoo is performed for medical reasons by a duly qualified medical practioner or by a person working under his direction, but it shall be a defence for a person charged to show that at the time the tattoo was performed he had reasonable cause to believe that the person tattooed was of or over the age of eighteen and did in fact so believe.”
